I think late summer weddings are a wonderful time to get married. The light is so pretty and less harsh than high summer, and even if it rains, its usually only a shower and even that seems to make everything sparkle a little bit more.

Gemma and Tom’s wedding in September represented this perfectly. A few showers, but mainly sunshine and lots of sparkle! The wedding took place in the village were Gemma’s parent live. It was only a short hop to the local church for the ceremony, then back to the parents house and beautiful garden with marquee.

The theme was English Country and the wedding breakfast High Tea; dainty sandwiches, gorgeous china and yummy cakes. The marquee was decked out with pretty bunting and Gemma and Tom had even made their own Jam, brilliantly named “Spread the Love!” But what this wedding also had was a beautiful couple, very much in love, who are had lots of fun with each other on their Big Day. They giggled their way through the ceremony and looked super cute on the dance floor for their first dance.

And if you’re wondering why Tom is soaking wet during their dance – he helped the Hog Roast suppliers set up camp in the evening – in the rain! What a nice man. Gorgeous day, beautiful couple = happy photographer!
