Battersea Arts Centre Wedding Photography
I absolutely loved this Battersea Arts Centre wedding. The whole day had such a gorgeous buzz to it, the kind of atmosphere where the light feels soft and flattering, guests start chatting the moment they walk in, and you can feel the excitement building long before the ceremony begins. It was one of those days where every few minutes I caught myself smiling behind the camera.
Why Battersea Arts Centre is perfect for weddings
I had never photographed at Battersea Arts Centre before and it truly felt like a dream to shoot there. BAC has this beautiful mix of history and creativity. The grand staircase, the mosaic floors, the sweeping halls with all their character, everything comes together to create a setting that feels dramatic yet wonderfully intimate. Each space has its own personality, so it suits couples with all kinds of styles whether you love elegance, something quirky, or something modern. It completely won me over.
The light inside the building is stunning from morning until evening. It has a soft, cinematic feel that works perfectly for natural and creative photography. As I moved through the different rooms I kept finding patches of warm light, textured walls, and open spaces that made every moment feel special. Light plays such a huge part in how the story of the day unfolds. The morning began with gentle calm light, perfect for quiet getting ready moments. Later on, as the ceremony and reception started, everything brightened and laughter, hugs, and reactions looked even more joyful. Then golden hour arrived and honestly, that warm glow never disappoints. Even a simple walk outside felt romantic and full of feeling.

Light that lifts the whole day
One of my favourite things about this wedding was how friendly and lively the guests were. Everywhere I turned someone was laughing, greeting a friend, or bursting with excitement about the day. I loved catching those tiny interactions that last only a second but carry so much emotion. They bring so much personality to the gallery and really show the heart of the day. During speeches the room completely came alive again. There were huge laughs, soft smiles, a few tears, and so many lovely glances between people who clearly care deeply for each other. Moments like these are such a privilege to photograph because they are completely real.

When the party kicks off!
Once the party started the whole place shifted into full celebration mode. Guests filled the dance floor straight away and twirled around with big grins, and someone always seemed to be doing a move that no one expected (Limbo dance party, anyone?)! The evening lights were perfectly dramatic and created epic fun that makes party photos feel atmospheric and full of life. I had such a fab time capturing all the movement and energy.
I always try to blend in at weddings so everyone feels comfortable. When people forget the camera is there, that is when the magic happens. The smiles become natural, the hugs become closer, and the reactions have all the honesty that makes wedding photography feel so meaningful. It creates a gallery filled with warmth, connection, and real moments. A massive thank you for L&J for having me along, it was an absolute pleasure. x
