This wedding at Chateau Robernier is just stunning. The venue speaks a thousand words, and the light is everything.
I thought I’d show you some photos that I took while I was second shooting for the wonderful Helen Cawte Photography back in the summer. It was such an epic destination wedding and I felt really honoured that I got to be a part of it for Mena and Ian. I rarely second shoot – but I couldn’t refuse when Helen asked if I would like to go all expenses paid to the South of France with her! um, YES PLEASE!
What I loved about being a second photographer was that it gave me time to explore, breathe in the whole day. I had time to stop and chat to guests and really soak up the day – without the added pressure of being the main photographer. It was such a stunning wedding and so much fun to be able to capture the day. It really showed be the importance and value of having a second photographer – and what they can bring to the mix. So a massive thank you to Helen, Mena and Ian for letting me be there. Mena and Ian got married at the truly stunning Chateau Robernier in Provence in the South of France.
Relaxed wedding photography
It’s a beautiful venue tucked away in the Provence countryside. The chateau was hired for the whole weekend, which meant that Mena and Ian got to the spend the weekend there chilling out with family and friends – which created a relaxed and very happy time for them all. I started my day capturing the boys chilling out at the swimming pool, before they decided to get ready with only 1 hour to go!
The light in this part of the world, is totally other worldly and it’s easy to see why people want to get married abroad – but also to become destination wedding photographers! Light is everything to a photographer and being able to work with it to create beautiful images makes me very happy indeed.
If you are looking for a wedding photographer in France, please do get in touch – as I would love to be there to capture it for you.
