The Asylum Chapel Wedding

Beautiful light at the Asylum Chapel Wedding

The Asylum Chapel Wedding

There’s something truly magical about a wedding that seamlessly combines historic charm with modern elegance. Charlotte and Harry’s wedding at The Asylum Chapel followed by a reception at AMP Studios in Peckham was no exception. It was a day brimming with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. All set in two of London’s most characterful venues – with two of the best people at the helm!

The day began at the couple’s home in Dulwich where Charlotte was getting ready with all her friends. It was so much fun to be around them all and spirits were high. We jumped in a taxi over to The Asylum Chapel and as if by magic rain stopped and the sun gods did their thing! The Asylum is such a beautiful treat for the eyes (and soul) – if you haven’t been it’s definitely worth a visit.

The chapel is such a glorious sight. It really is a hidden treasure. With its peeling paint, stained glass windows, and softly diffused light, The Asylum Chapel creates an ethereal backdrop for a wedding ceremony. As the couple exchanged their vows in front of friends and family, the space seemed to hold a quiet reverence. An Asylum Chapel wedding can amplify the emotions in the room. Photographing the ceremony felt like stepping into a romantic film. Every glance, every tear, and every smile was bathed in a beautiful golden glow.

Following the ceremony, guests spilled out into the gardens for a confetti moment full of colour and joy. It was the perfect opportunity to capture candid moments of laughter and connection before we made our way to the reception venue. One of the highlights of this The Asylum Chapel wedding was that we got to do a few portraits in and around the building . It’s always a joy to photograph there.

The celebration continued at AMP Studios in Peckham, a vibrant and versatile space. It offered a completely different yet equally enchanting vibe. With its clean, minimalist aesthetic, AMP Studios was a blank canvas brought to life by the couple’s thoughtful decor. Strings of festoon lights, lush greenery, and personal touches created a warm and inviting atmosphere.

As night fell, the party truly came alive. From the heartfelt speeches that had everyone laughing and tearing up, to the packed dance floor where guests celebrated with pure abandon, every moment was a joy to photograph. AMP Studios’ indoor-outdoor setup allowed guests to mingle freely, creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere that perfectly matched the couple’s vision for their day.

Thank you so so much for your incredible photos, we are completely blown away by your talent and how amazing they are! It’s taken us  a few days to sit down and go through them all but every single one is absolutely brilliant. We are beyond happy!! Charlotte and Harry
