For me, weddings aren’t about staged perfection or ticking off a list of must-have shots. They’re about the people. The raw emotion. The small, unscripted moments that happen when everyone you love is in one place — the joy, the nerves, the chaos, the stillness.
Time moves quietly, and the small moments can slip past before anyone notices. Photography gives them a place to stay. It captures more than a scene, it holds the truth of how a moment really felt.
As a Buckinghamshire wedding photographer, my approach is centred on people rather than perfection. Your wedding day is full of genuine emotion and natural interactions, so I focus on the unscripted moments that unfold when everyone you love comes together. The joy, the nerves, the laughter, the stillness, every tiny piece that makes your day yours.
My style is grounded in relaxed, documentary photography. I guide very little. Instead, I observe and wait for the real things that can be missed in the rush a hand squeezed under the table, a breath taken before a speech, a quiet tear brushed away.
These photographs go beyond appearances. They become a record of what the day truly felt like. Over the years they grow even more meaningful, offering a way back to the heart of your wedding.

I also shoot film
I adore 35mm film photography and shoot a complimentary roll or two at all my weddings. Film has such a special and unique feel that allows each moment to breathe and somehow feel more real, if that’s possible. I’ll often use my 50 year old Leica film camera, it captures such really beautiful light and soul in it’s images – that adds to the storytelling of your day. I can also shoot solely film on your day. Hello, I’m Sharron, a Buckinghamshire based wedding photographer.
Before I found my way to wedding photography, I was a journalist and photojournalist – always drawn to the quiet power of storytelling. Capturing real, unguarded moments has long been a part of who I am.
Now, as a wedding photographer, I get to create with heart and intention. Every day offers the chance to follow the light, to tune into emotion, and to craft images that do more than simply mark time – they hold it still, preserving the feeling of a moment so it can be returned to, again and again.
That’s what makes this work so meaningful to me. And that’s why I love what I do.
