Ali & Malcolm’s Stunning Roof Terrace Wedding in West London
I absolutely LOVE this wedding! It was such an incredible day, and I was so lucky to be chosen as Ali and Malcolm’s wedding photographer. From start to finish, it was pure magic—and I’m thrilled to share some of the highlights with you.
Ali and Malcolm truly created something special for their closest friends and family to celebrate their love. Inspired by the beauty of Petersham Nurseries, they transformed the roof terrace of their one-bedroom flat in West London into a wedding paradise—and the result was absolutely breathtaking.

A London Wedding Like No Other
Ali and Malcolm decided to host their wedding on their private rooftop terrace, and let me tell you—it was nothing short of extraordinary. Not many one-bedroom flats come with a spacious terrace like this one, but lucky for them, theirs was more than big enough to accommodate 60 guests (plus 12 event staff!) without ever feeling cramped. It was the perfect setting for their intimate celebration.
A Wedding Masterclass
From the ceremony to the reception, everything flowed seamlessly and was filled with fun and heart. They planned every moment with such care and attention, creating a unique experience for their guests—from games and a four-course meal to a cocktail party and late-night disco. It was a masterclass in how to host a wedding that’s as much about fun as it is about love.
Personal Touches Galore
One of the things I loved most about this wedding was the personal touches. Ali’s younger brother acted as the celebrant, and their family and friends contributed readings, songs, and poems throughout the day. But perhaps my favourite touch of all was the flower presentation. As guests arrived, they were each handed a flower, which they later presented to the couple during the ceremony. The mums collected the flowers and created one massive bouquet—such a beautiful moment.
And speaking of flowers—wow. The floral arrangements, created by the talented Lizzie Thorne Flowers, were absolutely stunning. Not only did they look incredible, but the fragrance was divine!
The food was another standout element of the day. The Hampstead Kitchen catered the event, and head chef Saima prepared mouthwatering Persian-inspired sharing platters. Oh, and did I mention Saima’s collection of stunning plates? I could’ve taken them home with me!
Of course, Ali looked absolutely radiant in her BHLDN dress, which was the perfect fit for her style and the day’s vibe.
